Grey Phalarope on The Rick Pond at Hampton Court Park

This endearing Grey Phalarope frequented The Rick Pond at Hampton Court Park in Greater London from November 13th to 19th 2008 (an unlikely place for a twitch if there ever was one). It was pretty much oblivious to everyone and everything as it fed almost constantly - largely ignoring dog-walkers (of which there were many) and birders, as well as the numerous Mute Swans that were present. Many thanks to the finder - Spencer Neal - for discovering it and getting the news out.
